About this Site

This blog has been set up for Dale P's friends and family as a resource for information on Dale's condition. Updates will be posted about once a week. As most of you know Dale fell from her bicycle on July 30, 2008. No one witnessed the incident, so the best assumption we can make is that it was a bad fall off the bike. As a result of this fall, Dale is suffering from Tramatic Brain Injury (TBI). If you would like to read more about TBI, you can do a google search for TBI or check these web sites:

At this time you are not able to post messages. When Dale is well enough to read, posting will be activated and we'd love to have you send your thoughts and cheerful greetings. We hope that will be soon. Thank you for all your well wishes and concern. It is heart warming to know Dale has so many caring friends.

Dale's Holiday Wish

Dale was able to leave the rehab facility for the day to spend Thanksgiving with her brother and parents in Denver. It was a great outing. She will spend Christmas with family also. What a great break from the rehab routine! She continues to progress, gaining more leg strength and coordination. She is not walking on her own yet, but is able to walk using a walker and an assistant. Her speech also continues to improve. One of Dale's biggest challenges continues to be her loss of short term memory. It's frustrating not to remember what you did during the day or if your parents or brother came to visit. But, we're hopeful she will make gains in this as she has in so many other areas. Dale wants to wish you all the peace and joy of the holiday season, and she looks forward to being well enough to have visitors in the new year. Happy Holiday from Dale and all her family.
