About this Site

This blog has been set up for Dale P's friends and family as a resource for information on Dale's condition. Updates will be posted about once a week. As most of you know Dale fell from her bicycle on July 30, 2008. No one witnessed the incident, so the best assumption we can make is that it was a bad fall off the bike. As a result of this fall, Dale is suffering from Tramatic Brain Injury (TBI). If you would like to read more about TBI, you can do a google search for TBI or check these web sites:

At this time you are not able to post messages. When Dale is well enough to read, posting will be activated and we'd love to have you send your thoughts and cheerful greetings. We hope that will be soon. Thank you for all your well wishes and concern. It is heart warming to know Dale has so many caring friends.

Dale Home and Continuing Rehab!

After 5 months, recently Dale was able to return to her home in Fort Collins. What an exciting transition! While this is exciting, we must caution friends that Dale will have a full daily schedule with occupational, speech and physical therapists coming to her house. Therefore, she is not yet ready to receive visitors. Think of this as her full time job right now. She is learning to walk with a walker. It is difficult, but she is making progress. We see improvement in her short term memory (what did I do today...), but she needs more time for this to recover. The family was anxious to let her friends know that she has left the rehab facility, but we ask for your help in refraining from calls or unexpected visitation until she has adjusted to her surroundings and her new schedule. Please watch this blog and we will let you know when visits can be arranged. Her devoted husband is her 24/7 caregiver. Thank you again for all your prayers and concern. This is a great start to the new year!
